Belgrade Centre railway station

Belgrade Centre station — locally known as Prokop — holds the distinction of being one of Serbia's longest-running construction projects: planning started in 1976, but the station only became Belgrade's main railway hub on 1 July 2018. It replaced the historic Belgrade Main Station, which had served the city since the Habsburg era. Today it functions as the central interchange for long-distance and regional rail services, anchoring the modernised Serbian rail network.
