Kashgar railway station

Kashgar railway station is the western terminus of the Xinjiang South Railway, which has connected the city to Turfan and the broader Chinese rail network since 1999. Situated at the far western edge of the People's Republic, it serves as the main arrival point for overland travellers heading to one of Central Asia's most storied Silk Road cities. The station building itself is a plain late-1990s transit facility with no notable architectural or cultural features.
