Railway Station
Obihiro Station is the main railway hub of Obihiro city in the Tokachi subprefecture of Hokkaido, Japan's northernmost main island, and opened in 1905 during the Meiji era — a period of rapid rail expansion aimed at opening Hokkaido's agricultural interior. It serves today as a stop on the JR Nemuro Line. Beyond its function as a local transit node, no distinctive architectural or cultural attributes are documented.
