Ochiai Station

Ochiai Station is a disused railway station on the Japanese island of Hokkaido, located in the municipality of Minamifurano in the Sorachi subprefecture. It opened in 1901 during the Meiji era, when Japan was rapidly expanding Hokkaido's rail network to encourage settlement of the northern frontier. Today the station is no longer in service, surviving as a quiet remnant of the island's early development history.
