Shin-Takaoka Station is a West Japan Railway Company stop opened on 14 March 2015, built to serve the Hokuriku Shinkansen extension from Nagano to Kanazawa. Located south of Takaoka city in Toyama Prefecture, it functions as an interchange with the local Jōhana Line. A purely functional transit hub with no independent visitor appeal.
