Angell Park Speedway
Race Course
Bahrain International Circuit sits on the desert plain of Sakhir, about 27 kilometres southwest of Manama, and made history in 2004 as Formula 1's first venue on the Arabian Peninsula. The track was constructed in under 18 months, and Michael Schumacher won the inaugural Bahrain Grand Prix that April. The 5.412-kilometre layout is characterised by long straights and heavy braking zones; an outer oval variant was briefly used for the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix. Outside the racing calendar, the facility offers track experience days, karting, and pit-lane tours, with grandstand seating providing wide views across Bahrain's flat desert landscape.
