Baron 1898

Baron 1898 is a floorless dive coaster at the Dutch theme park Efteling, designed by Swiss manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard and opened on 1 July 2015. The ride is themed around a fictitious late-19th-century gold mine, with an elaborately staged queue area that immerses riders in a dark industrial atmosphere before launch. At its peak the train crests a 37.5-metre lift hill and plunges at a near-vertical 90-degree angle, reaching 90 km/h with riders' feet dangling free — making it one of Efteling's most intense attractions.
