Avalanche

Avalanche is a Mack Rides Bobsled steel coaster at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, which opened on 22 June 1988. Unlike conventional coasters, riders sit in freely swinging toboggan-style cars that tilt naturally through the banked track, mimicking the movement of a real bobsled run — a ride dynamic that still sets it apart from standard looping coasters. It holds the distinction of being the only bob coaster currently operating in the United Kingdom. With moderate speeds and a roughly two-minute ride time, it appeals to families and thrill-seekers alike.
