Bay of Islands Coastal Park

Bay of Islands Coastal Park is a 32-kilometre coastal reserve along Victoria's Great Ocean Road, consolidated in 1997 from several smaller protected areas. Its defining feature is a series of limestone sea stacks, arches, and rock islands carved by the Southern Ocean over millennia — geologically similar to the more famous Twelve Apostles but far less crowded. Walking tracks trace the clifftop with open views across the island clusters, while the sheltered bays below attract seabirds and occasional fur seals. For visitors travelling the Great Ocean Road who want to step away from the busiest stops, the park offers stretches of undeveloped coastline with genuine solitude.
