Seal Rock State Recreation Site is a free-access Oregon state park on the Pacific coast, roughly 10 miles north of Waldport, administered by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department. The park takes its name from the offshore basalt outcroppings that serve as haul-out spots for harbor seals and Steller sea lions, visible from the rocky shoreline. Tide pools along the beach reveal sea stars, anemones, and mussels, making it a practical stop for anyone interested in Pacific intertidal ecology. Paved parking, picnic areas, and direct beach access make it an easy coastal day trip.
