Biddick Hall

Biddick Hall is a small country manor in the village of Bournmoor near Chester-le-Street, County Durham, listed at Grade I by English Heritage — the highest tier of statutory protection in England. The hall has long been the residence of the Lambton family, one of northeast England's most prominent aristocratic dynasties. As a privately occupied house it is not open to the public; its significance lies in its role as a well-preserved example of English gentry architecture and the landed heritage of County Durham.
