Big Foot Beach State Park sits on the eastern shore of Geneva Lake in Walworth County, Wisconsin, operated year-round by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Established in 1949, it provides one of the few publicly accessible sandy beaches on a lake largely surrounded by private estates. The park takes its name from Chief Big Foot of the Potawatomi, who led his band in this region in the early 19th century before their forced removal. Open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., the park draws day-trippers from Chicago and Milwaukee for swimming, fishing, woodland hiking trails, and lakeside picnicking throughout the year.
