Bijilo Forest Park

Bijilo Forest Park is a 51-hectare coastal woodland on Gambia's Atlantic shore, gazetted as a protected nature reserve in 1982 and since then kept free from commercial forestry. The park is best known for its habituated green monkeys and western red colobus, which frequently approach visitors along the walking trails. Birdwatchers have recorded more than 100 species within its boundaries, making it one of the most accessible birding spots in the country. The trail network is compact and well-signed, lending itself to a quiet half-day visit from the nearby resort towns of Kololi and Senegambia.
