Bismarckturm Weißenburg

The Bismarckturm near Weißenburg in Bavaria stands atop the 603-metre Rohrberg on a steep wooded slope above Weiboldshausen and is listed as a protected architectural monument in the Bavarian heritage register. It is one of roughly 145 surviving Bismarck towers built across Germany after Otto von Bismarck's death in 1898 — a coordinated Wilhelmine-era commemorative project designed to dot the German landscape with visible tributes to the Iron Chancellor. Set in forest above the Middle Franconian hill country, the tower is reachable via hiking trails from Weißenburg. The viewing platform offers an open panorama over the Altmühl region, making it a popular short excursion for walkers and families from the surrounding area.
