The Reinerkogelwarte is a hilltop observation tower on the forested Reinerkogel ridge southwest of Graz, reachable via marked hiking trails from the city. Towers of this type were typically erected during the late 19th century by Alpine and tourism clubs, giving urban walkers elevated views over the city and surrounding countryside. On clear days the tower offers an open panorama across Graz, the Mur valley plain, and the rolling hills of the Grazer Bergland. The ascent takes roughly 30 to 60 minutes depending on the chosen route, making it a popular half-day outing for locals.
