Blagoveshchensk–Heihe Bridge

The Blagoveshchensk–Heihe Bridge is a two-lane road bridge spanning the Amur River, linking the Russian city of Blagoveshchensk with the Chinese border city of Heihe in Heilongjiang province. Completed in 2019 after decades of planning and opened to traffic in 2022, it is the first road bridge ever built between Russia and China. The crossing offers a rare vantage point over the wide Amur, a river that simultaneously marks an international border, a natural boundary, and the shifting fortunes of Sino-Russian relations.
