Hanbury Garden

At Capo Mortola near Ventimiglia, just before the French border - laid out in 1867 by the British silk merchant Sir Thomas Hanbury. 18 hectares of plants from across the globe on the steep Ligurian coast, curated in the Victorian collecting spirit. Today an Italian national monument and University of Genoa garden.
