Bountiful Utah Temple

The Bountiful Utah Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was dedicated in 1995 and sits in Bountiful, just north of Salt Lake City along the Wasatch Front. Like all active LDS temples, the interior is restricted to church members holding a current temple recommend — making it a fundamentally different institution from a typical Sunday meetinghouse. The white marble exterior, slender spire, and gilded angel Moroni statue make it a recognizable presence against the mountain backdrop. For members, the temple serves as the site of sacred ordinances including sealings and baptisms for the dead.
