Bradfield Highway

The Bradfield Highway is a 2.4-kilometre urban motorway in central Sydney, linking the Cahill Expressway and Western Distributor in the CBD to the Warringah Freeway in North Sydney via the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Named after John Bradfield, the chief engineer who oversaw the bridge's design and construction through to its 1932 opening, the highway is essentially the road corridor across one of the world's most recognisable steel-arch bridges. As a standalone route it functions purely as traffic infrastructure with no independent visitor offer.
