Bridal Veil Falls

Bridal Veil Falls is the smallest of the three cataracts that make up Niagara Falls, separated from the main Horseshoe Falls by Goat Island on the American side. Its name comes from the fine, veil-like mist that rises from the narrow cascade as it drops into the gorge below. Visitors can view the falls at close range from Terrapin Point or board the iconic Maid of the Mist boat tour, which ventures directly into the spray basin shared with the larger American Falls. On clear days, rainbows form reliably in the mist directly in front of the cascade.
