Also known as: Colleccion de Arte Amalia Lacroze de Fortabat, Art Collection "Amalia Lacroze de Fortabat", Fortabat Art Collection · +1
The Coleccion de Arte Amalia Lacroze de Fortabat is a fine-arts museum in the regenerated Puerto Madero docklands of Buenos Aires. The private collection of cement heiress Amalia Lacroze de Fortabat opened to the public in 2008 in a striking glass-and-concrete building by Uruguayan architect Rafael Vinoly. The holdings range from Bruegel, Turner and Klimt through Dali and Chagall to the giants of Argentine modernism such as Berni, Quinquela Martin and Soldi. One floor is reserved for climate-controlled temporary shows, and a sculpture garden lines Dique 4. The building sits directly on the water; from its top floor the view sweeps across the old brick warehouses and harbour cranes.
