Also known as: Les Terrasses de Genève, Bas de Collonges
Collonges-sous-Saleve is a French commune in the Haute-Savoie department, set at the foot of Mont Saleve immediately on the border with the Swiss canton of Geneva. Although administratively French, the village belongs to the cross-border Geneva agglomeration and is home to many cross-border commuters working in the city. From the village the Telepherique du Saleve cable car climbs to the viewing plateau at 1100 metres, a classic outing for Genevans. The Campus adventiste du Saleve, a French Adventist college, also sits here. Step off the bus in Collonges and the hiking trails around Mont Saleve and the Swiss frontier are within walking distance.
