Chile's largest stadium at 47,000 capacity in Santiago — Colo-Colo's iconic home ground and the country's top live-event venue.
The Estadio Monumental — El Monumental — in the Macul district south-east of central Santiago is Chile's largest football stadium, holding around 47,000 spectators. The foundation stone was laid in 1956 and the ground has hosted CSD Colo-Colo's home matches since 1989. The pitch is named after David Arellano, the club's founder, which gives the stadium its full unofficial name: Estadio Monumental David Arellano. Colo-Colo is Chile's most widely supported club, and match days transform the stadium into an electrifying cauldron. The venue also hosts major concerts and international fixtures.
