Fresno City Hall

Fresno City Hall is the seat of Fresno's city government, housing the mayor's office and the City Council chambers. Completed in 1991, the building was designed by Canadian architect Arthur Erickson, known for expressive sculptural structures — this is among his few significant built works in the United States. Its postmodern-futurist form sets it apart from conventional civic architecture, with bold massing and unconventional geometry. The building is wheelchair accessible, and public City Council meetings are held on-site for residents wishing to engage with local government.
