Herrgottsruhkapelle
CatholicRenaissanceListed Building+4
The Mariahilfkapelle in Miltach, a village in the Landkreis Cham district of the Upper Palatinate, is a small Roman Catholic chapel protected as a listed monument under the Bavarian Denkmalliste. Chapels of this Marian type were commonly erected across rural Bavaria and the Upper Palatinate in the wake of the Thirty Years' War, reflecting a wave of Counter-Reformation Marian devotion in the 17th century. Today it serves as a quiet devotional site within the village of Miltach, a short distance from the spa town of Bad Kötzting.
