Patriarshiy Bridge

The Patriarshy Bridge is a pedestrian-only crossing that runs from the rebuilt Cathedral of Christ the Saviour over the Moskva and Balchug Island to the left bank. It was designed by Mikhail Posokhin, the same architect who oversaw the cathedral reconstruction, and opened in 2004 in stages. The bridge has become one of Moscow's favourite photo spots - golden domes on one side, the Kremlin and the Red October skyline on the other. Floodlit at night, it is popular with couples and street musicians.
