The SkyScreamer at Six Flags Darien Lake near Batavia, New York, is a Star Flyer model designed by Austrian manufacturer Funtime — a giant swing ride that lifts riders in open gondolas to over 60 meters and rotates them around a central tower. Six Flags operates identical installations at several parks across North America. At full height, riders get unobstructed views across the park grounds and the lake-dotted landscape of western New York. The appeal is straightforward: the sensation of open-air swinging at height, with no tracks or inversions — just wind and a long drop below.
