About Piraeus

Piraeus sits on the Saronic Gulf immediately southwest of Athens and, with around 168,000 residents, is Greece's largest port city. Its harbour is one of the busiest in the Mediterranean and serves as the main gateway for ferry connections to the Greek islands, including Minoan Lines services to Crete. Beyond the busy waterfront, the city offers green spaces such as the Peace and Friendship Stadium Park and several places of worship, among them the churches of Agios Dimitrios and Agios Sozon.
