a monument to Prince Wladyslaw White

This memorial in the small Polish town of Gniewkowo commemorates Prince Władysław the White, who ruled as Duke of Kujawy in Gniewkowo from 1347 to 1364. Following the decline of the Piast dynasty in the region, he pressed a claim to the Polish royal crown from 1370 onward, though without success. The monument serves as a modest local marker of the town's medieval heritage within the historical Kujawy region.
