Eagles' Bridge

Historic arch bridge with bronze eagles at the entrance to Sofia's largest park.

Eagles' Bridge in the heart of Sofia is an elegant arch bridge built between 1889 and 1891. Its name comes from the four bronze eagles perched at its corners. At the time of construction it stood at the city's outskirts — today it marks the entrance to Borisova Gradina, Sofia's largest park. The bridge is a fine example of late 19th-century civic architecture and a popular meeting spot for locals and visitors alike.
