Adlerfelsen

Adlerfelsen is a prominent granite rock formation at 778 metres above sea level, situated south of Eibenstock in the Saxon Erzgebirge. The coarse-grained tourmaline granite was formed roughly 300 million years ago through magmatic intrusion, making it a point of geological interest in the region. The rocky summit offers open views across dense mountain forest into the upper Erzgebirge highlands. Reachable via hiking trails from Eibenstock, the site attracts walkers and nature enthusiasts looking to explore the hills without the crowds of larger destinations.
