Gustaf III Airport
Aéroport Rémy de Haenen — named after the adventurer and former island administrator Rémy de Haenen — is the sole airport serving the French Caribbean island of Saint-Barthélemy, situated at the edge of Saint-Jean village. Its extremely short runway and a steep descent over a hillside make the approach one of the most demanding in the Caribbean, giving the airport a reputation well beyond the island's size. For visitors, it is simply the only air gateway to the island.
