Francisco Sarabia International Airport

Francisco Sarabia International Airport is the main civil airport serving the La Laguna metropolitan area of northern Mexico, situated near Gómez Palacio on the Durango–Coahuila state border. It is named after Francisco Sarabia Tinoco, a pioneering Mexican aviator who in 1939 became the first Mexican to fly non-stop from Mexico City to New York, only to die later that year in a crash over the Potomac River. The airport functions primarily as a regional hub for domestic routes and a handful of cross-border connections to the United States.
