A400M

The Airbus A400M Atlas on display at the Aeroscopia aviation museum near Toulouse is a four-engine military transport aircraft developed by Airbus Defence and Space. Designed to replace aging Transall C-160 and Lockheed C-130 Hercules fleets across seven European NATO nations, it introduced significantly higher payload capacity, range, and speed than its predecessors. The aircraft entered operational service in 2013. At Aeroscopia, visitors can inspect the plane up close and explore its role in European strategic airlift capability. The museum sits adjacent to the Airbus production site in Blagnac, giving the exhibit a fitting industrial backdrop.
