American Legion State Forest is a state-managed woodland in Barkhamsted, northern Connecticut, administered by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. It was dedicated to the American Legion, the U.S. veterans' organization, and directly adjoins Peoples State Forest, together forming a contiguous protected woodland along the West Branch Farmington River. The forest is used for hiking and fishing; visitors should check with the state for current trail maps and facility information.
