Armeleuteberg
HighlandDay TripPanoramic View+1
At 609.4 metres, the Angelburg is the highest summit in the Gladenbacher Bergland, a low mountain range in the Lahn-Dill district of central Hesse. Sitting within the Schelder Wald near Hirzenhain-Bahnhof, it forms part of the Bottenhorner plateau landscape. Well-marked hiking trails lead through mixed forest to the top, where the treeline opens to views across the rolling Mittelgebirge terrain. It is a quiet, accessible day-hike destination for walkers from the Gladenbach area, with no commercial infrastructure at the summit.
