Alheimer

The Alheimer, at 548.7 metres, is the second-highest summit of the Stölzinger Gebirge hill range in northern Hesse. Its forested peak is crowned by the Alheimerturm, a lookout tower offering panoramic views across the Fulda valley and the surrounding upland landscape. A memorial site on the summit plateau adds a reflective dimension beyond the nature experience alone. Several well-marked hiking trails lead to the top, making it a manageable half-day excursion from the town of Rotenburg an der Fulda.
