Antonivka Road Bridge

The Antonivka Road Bridge was a Soviet-era highway bridge over the Dnieper River near Kherson in southern Ukraine, built in 1985 and stretching roughly 1,400 metres across the river. For decades it served as one of the region's most critical crossings, linking the city of Kherson to the southern part of the oblast. In November 2022, as Russian forces withdrew from the west bank of the Dnieper, the bridge was blown up and its northern section completely destroyed. The wreckage remains visible in the river — a stark marker of the front line that hardened along the Dnieper in the wake of the Ukrainian counteroffensive.
