Augsburg Messe

The Augsburg trade fair grounds opened in 1988 and rank as the third-largest exhibition venue in Bavaria by hall space, placing sixteenth nationwide. Before the current site was built, Augsburg's trade exhibitions were held in temporary tent halls on the grounds of Wittelsbacher Park. Today the venue hosts a rotating calendar of industry and consumer fairs covering crafts, automotive, and leisure sectors. It serves as a functional regional event hub for the Augsburg–Swabia economic area rather than a destination with architectural or cultural distinction.
