Aygül-Taş toosu

Aigül-Tasch is a botanical nature reserve in the Batken District of southwestern Kyrgyzstan, lying 15 to 18 kilometres from the regional capital Batken. Founded in 2009 with the sole purpose of protecting the Aigül flower — a rare bloom endemic to the Batken Oblast — the reserve holds outsized symbolic importance: the flower appears on the official flag of the Batken region itself. The reserve is currently managed by the rural community of Kara-Bulak alongside the state forestry authority. Visitors encounter a spare, rocky mountain landscape where the Aigül emerges between the stones during its short flowering season, a botanical rarity almost unknown beyond Kyrgyzstan.
