Löserbecken von Weiterstadt

The Löserbecken von Weiterstadt is a small nature reserve of 8.03 hectares in the Weiterstadt district of Landkreis Darmstadt-Dieburg, south of Frankfurt. Designated in July 1983 and expanded in 1993, it was integrated into the European Natura 2000 protected-area network in 2008. The reserve safeguards typical south-Hessian wetland biotopes with specialist plant and animal communities. It offers quiet nature observation on a modest scale, with no significant visitor infrastructure or marked trail network.
