Bad Radkersburg
Bad Radkersburg is a small spa town in the southeastern Styrian Mur valley, sitting directly on the Slovenian border. Its medieval old town — with intact town walls, towers, and a well-preserved main square — ranks among the most coherent historic ensembles in Styria. The town earned its 'Bad' designation after thermal springs were developed in the 20th century, and the resulting spa complex remains the area's economic anchor today. With around 3,200 inhabitants, it retains the unhurried atmosphere of a border Kurort, with a subtle bilingual character shaped by proximity to Slovenia.
