Bärenschanze

Bärenschanze is an underground station on Nuremberg's U1 metro line, opened on 20 September 1980 as the line's western terminus. It held that role for less than a year before the line extended further west to Gostenhof in June 1981. Today around 14,000 passengers use the wheelchair-accessible station daily as a regular stop between Maximilianstraße and Gostenhof, operated by VAG.
