Butterworth railway station

Butterworth railway station sits in the port town of Butterworth on the mainland side of the Penang Strait and has served since 1967 as the northern terminus of KTM's West Coast Line, which runs south through Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru to Singapore. Its main draw is the direct ferry connection to George Town on Penang island. For most travelers it functions as a transit interchange rather than a destination in its own right.
