Keetmanshoop Railway Station

The Keetmanshoop station building dates to 1928, replacing an original structure from 1908 when German colonial authorities extended the railway into what was then southern German South West Africa. Built in a restrained colonial brick style, it sits southeast of a yard used today primarily for freight operations. The building stands as one of the few intact remnants of German imperial railway infrastructure in southern Namibia, of interest to visitors drawn to colonial history.
