Kushiro Station

Kushiro Station is the main railway hub of Kushiro city on eastern Hokkaido, opened in 1901 as part of the Meiji-era push to develop Japan's northernmost main island. It serves today as a terminus for several JR Hokkaido lines, including the Senmo and Nemuro Main Lines, connecting the city to the remote wetlands and coastal stretches of eastern Hokkaido.
