Shinjohara Station

Shinjohara Station sits in the city of Kosai, Shizuoka Prefecture, on Japan's main island of Honshū, jointly operated by JR Central and the local Tenryū Hamanako Tetsudō line. Opened in 1936 during the Shōwa period, it functions primarily as a commuter interchange between Hamamatsu and the coastal area around Lake Hamana. For visitors, it serves mainly as a stepping-off point for destinations around the lake rather than as a destination in its own right.
