Shizuoka Station

Shizuoka Station is a major rail junction in the Aoi-ku district of Shizuoka city on Honshū, operated by JR Central. Opened in 1889 during the Meiji era, it is one of the earlier stations in Japan's national rail network. Today it serves both local and Shinkansen bullet train services, making it a key stop for travelers on the Tokyo–Osaka corridor — a journey that takes under an hour by high-speed rail.
