Unkel station

Unkel station, opened in 1870 as part of the right-bank Rhine railway line, is the sole train stop serving the small town of Unkel. Two platforms and three tracks handle regional services run today by the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg. The station building is a modest example of Gründerzeit-era railway architecture typical of Rhine Valley stops from that period.
