Vallorbe railway station

Vallorbe railway station, set in the Vaud Jura foothills, holds the highest Swiss heritage classification — a Class A cultural asset of national importance. A first terminus station opened here on 1 July 1870; the current through-station building in Belle Époque style replaced it and entered service in 1913. Situated on the international Lausanne–Paris line, Vallorbe serves as a key transit node for cross-border rail traffic into France. The early-20th-century station building is one of the better-preserved examples of that era's railway architecture in French-speaking Switzerland.
